Jane (Katherine Heigl), a career oriented gal who has attended 27 receptions is unselfishly helping friends with all their weddings. Being the wedding planner, she has yet to come across a wedding of her own. She is though, secretly in love with her boss George but he is in love with Jane's sister Tess, a very flirtatious girl who George might end up marrying. Although Kevin (James Marsden), a writer/cynic likes Jane very much and tries to get her attention and thinks up an idea that may advance his career. The movie is a true love triangle in a very real world kind of thing.
